Trapped

I took a shot of this small butterfly hovering inside my son's bedroom while I was working the other day. I tried so hard to take as shot of it with its wings flapped open but I failed to do so. I let it out after this shot.

Old and New

This tree behind my boy is the Blanco Tree. It's the tree where well-known artist Jose "Pitok" Blanco played as a young boy. The tree has also served as the navigational guide of fishermen fishing in the shores of Laguna Lake. It's the perfect contrast to my boy who's clearly born in the digital era. See how many gadgets he has?

Camera Critters: Time To Buy My Dog a Bone!

I am a bad master but my dog is a naughty one. He played around with the screwdriver while the carpenter was doing some woodwork in the garage. Don't worry, he wasn't able to gobble it up. Just a lot of drool here and there.

Holy Week 2009

The family spent the Lenten season with my husband's side of the family in Naga City. We brought along my youngest brother so he can experience how Holy Week is spent in Bicol. These shots were taken during the Good Friday procession that we were able to witness in downtown Naga City. This procession is quite different from the usual Good Friday processions I have seen because almost all of the highlights of Jesus' passion and death were showcased in the procession.

Baguio's Treasures

I just came back from a four-day stay in Baguio City. Pretty flowers are always a common sight in the City of Pines. It could be that the cold weather makes the flowers appear brighter and the grass greener. I wasn't able to resist stopping once in a while to capture a pretty sight.


This one was just by the driveway of our unit. Don't know what it is called.


Almost stepped on this while trekking at Tam-awan Village. Could this be a pine tree sprout?

This pretty flower found its place in between a crack of a boulder.

Weekend Snapshot: Grassy Car

We saw this cute grassy car parked in front of Palma Hall when we went to attend the UP Diliman Feb Fair last Friday. At first, I thought that it was giving the "Go Green" message but the slogan perched on top of the car reads "Bawal ang Damo sa Tao" (Grass are not for Humans). It turned out to be an anti-drug campaign after all.

Weekend Snapshot: Take a Dip!

Ralph was finally able swim yesterday when we attended my niece's baptismal reception. I am glad that we enrolled our son in swimming lessons last year. It was such a relief to let him swim by himself in the big pool minus the fear of him drowning.

This is one of the unpublished photos that we had while visiting the Sierra Madre Country Club. My knees often shake when I cross hanging bridges but not in this one. It was sturdy and made of steel that's why I was able to confidently cross to the other side.

This was supposed to be a good shot of my boy enjoying his time in the park of Eastwood Mall. But it was a very windy day and I guess he just caught off balance. He did not fall from the ledge, fortunately.

This is one of my favorite among my sets of jewelry. It is not that expensive but it looks good and the silver doesn't fade.

Time to get a flu vaccine! We had our shots this Saturday. I learned that a flu is not just a flu. Influenza may be deadly so it is vital to avoid having influenza by getting shots annually. Read more about the importance of having an influenza vaccine here.
