Project 365: #9 Bookworm

JAN 9: Bookworm

He's nine years old and he's into Mitch Albom and Paolo Coelho. This is aside from the fact that he also reads the Harry Potter series, the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, and Bob Ong's books. I'm not a bookworm. He got it probably from his dad.

Old and New

This tree behind my boy is the Blanco Tree. It's the tree where well-known artist Jose "Pitok" Blanco played as a young boy. The tree has also served as the navigational guide of fishermen fishing in the shores of Laguna Lake. It's the perfect contrast to my boy who's clearly born in the digital era. See how many gadgets he has?

Photo shot by my husband using his Blackberry during our trip to the Angono Petroglyphs in Binangonan, Rizal.

Weekend Snapshot: Take a Dip!

Ralph was finally able swim yesterday when we attended my niece's baptismal reception. I am glad that we enrolled our son in swimming lessons last year. It was such a relief to let him swim by himself in the big pool minus the fear of him drowning.

Weekend Snapshot: Windy Day!

Hehehe....

This was supposed to be a good shot of my boy enjoying his time in the park of Eastwood Mall. But it was a very windy day and I guess he just caught off balance. He did not fall from the ledge, fortunately.

Feel free to view my other weekend snapshot here.

Litratong Pinoy: Kahel (Orange)

My son's school had a Halloween-themed Family Day last October 2008. I was happy because it was a unique Family Day after all. I also missed the times when my son would join Halloween costume contests that we always did when we were still living in Laguna Bel Air. Here he is dressed up as a scarecrow. I already knew what to do because he already won in 2004 being a scarecrow. I painted his face with orange and black face paint. The straw hat I was able to buy in the flea market. The dried straw on his hands were cut from our neighbor's vacant lot.

Feel free to view my other entry on my main blog.

These are also the Halloween photos that I published in 2002 and 2003.
